In 1959, Pier Luigi Ciucci , along with his wife Maria Licia, purchased a used Fiat 600 and began their car rental business in Lucca. The office was located at number 4 Piazza del Giglio , where the historic sign can still be seen today on the façade of the beautiful Palazzo Sestini. It was precisely because of this square, which also overlooks the splendid Teatro Comunale del Giglio, that Pier Luigi named his business Autonoleggio Giglio.

Starting with a small car and putting in a lot of effort, Pier Luigi and Maria Licia developed their business in the early 1960s, expanding their fleet with vans and minibuses and also introducing a new chauffeur-driven rental business.

Today, their children, Manuela and Giampiero , along with their grandson Amedeo, continue the family tradition of this historic car rental business in Lucca. Thanks to the guidance and experience of Pier Luigi and Maria Licia, the business has reached its third generation!
